WESTERN Australian buyers with a connection to Ocean Grove have snapped up a beach house sight unseen.
The buyers enlisted a friend to inspect and bid for 138 Sunset Strip for them, while they watched the auction bidding through the live auction app Gavl.
They secured the property for $670,000 over one other bidder, also bidding via the phone.

Hayden, Ocean Grove agent Ros Green said the buyers did not get to see the house in person but were attracted to its location a short walk to the beach.
“They will hopefully move into it themselves down the track,” Ms Green said.
“They saw there is capital growth close to the beach.”
The three-bedroom beach house has a covered north-facing deck, fruit trees and large storage shed.
The relaxed house has a large loungeroom that connects to the meals area and kitchen.
There is potential for subdivision and future development, subject to council approval.
The median house price in Ocean Grove has increased 11.3 per cent in the past year to $690,000, according to CoreLogic.
