One of the most expensive penthouses built on the upper north shore has hit the market with a $3.3 million price tag.
Part of Mirvac’s Seldon complex in Tryon Rd, Lindfield, the listing is set to test the area’s apartment record.
Coincidentally the Ku-ring-gai record is held by 7/9-25 Tryon Rd — another penthouse in the same complex. It sold for $3.75 million in March 2018, back when the market was stronger.

With nearly 50 groups attending the first inspection of 16/15 Tryon Rd last weekend, the property is well positioned to give the record a crack.
McConnell Bourn agent Scott Farquhar said everyone who looked was a cashed-up downsizer.
“These are local couples looking to downsize from their big, large upper north shore homes,” he said. “They also recognise that this is a type of property that does not come up all that often as they are very tightly held.”
The Lindfield apartment market has remained relatively stable, with a $1.135 million median sale price, an increase of 16.7 per cent in the 12 months to November 2018, according to CoreLogic data.
Mr Farquhar said the penthouse is the perfect property to be less reliant on the car. “You’ve got a level walk to the station, the new Harris Farm and medical facilities at your doorstep, which is a huge bonus for those getting old,” he said.
The three-bedroom penthouse occupies 208sqm of internal living with a huge wrap around balcony.
The property is scheduled to go to auction on March 9 at McConnell Bourn’s auction house in Lindfield.
