The median unit price on the northern beaches of Sydney is $880,000 so when a local unit comes to market with an advertised price drop of $800,000 you know it has to be special.

The 32-unit development Edgewater in Bayview, in the north of the northern beaches, won the Master Builders Australia award in 2011 for the best over 55’s development.

Judges cited the high level of finishes and fixtures in the development which faces due north and which is opposite a marina and foreshore parkland.

There have been a couple of three-bedroom units within Edgewater sell, one traded for $2.7 million in 2011 and another changed hands for $2.85 million in 2017.

Now number 3/1927 Pittwater Rd is for sale going to auction on Saturday March 30.
