Torquay family find dream home after 12 month search

A YEAR long search has come to an end for a local family looking to upsize in Torquay.

The family snapped up 6 Elm Grove Court for $1.25 million after missing out on another property recently.

McCartney, Torquay agent Tim Carson said his clients had looked at a lot of places in the last 12 months.

“The size and the views from this one ticked all the boxes for them,” Mr Carson said.

“It has really good ocean views and the house was quality built about 17-18 years ago by an Italian family.”

The house is on 974sq m of land and was designed to capture the water vista.

The ground floor consists of three bedrooms, laundry/kitchen, loungeroom and an impressive outdoor entertainment room with barbecue and bar area.

Upstairs are two more bedrooms, including the main bedroom, and a sprawling open-plan kitchen, meals area and loungeroom that connects to a balcony that takes in the view.

The median house price in Torquay has increased 12.4 per cent in the past year to $820,000, according to CoreLogic.
