RT Edgar, Ocean Grove agent Brock Grainger said a swimming pool did add value to a property.
“When you are looking at prestige properties it is almost a given these days, anything over $1 million and people are looking for a pool,” Mr Grainger said.
“A lot of people are moving for the whole change of lifestyle and a pool adds that lifestyle into the mix.”
Mr Grainger said it had to be the right property and price point for it to add value.
“If you are putting a pool in a new estate, it is not necessarily what the market is after but certainly in the prestige properties,” he said.
