Sprawling St Leonards property attracts Melbourne buyers

A FAMILY has snapped up a sprawling property in St Leonards for a lifestyle change.

The 30ha property at 50-60 Manifold St will be a big change from their Melbourne property but the buyers are looking forward to having space around them.

The property sold within the asking range for $2.225 million.

Fletchers, Queenscliff agent Charles Caldwell said the buyers would be moving down here permanently.

“They wanted a bit of land they can muck around with and have a rural aspect and lifestyle but still be close to Geelong,” Mr Caldwell said.

The organic rammed earth house is surrounded by established gardens and has a terrific view across Swan Bay.

The house is divided into three zones. One end is the parents retreat with main bedroom, ensuite, walk-in wardrobe and study.

At the other end of the house are three more bedrooms, all with built-in wardrobes, and the main bathroom.

Separating the sleeping quarters is the open-plan kitchen, meals area and loungeroom.

The property was originally 60ha but the vendors split it in half and kept one half of it.
