Norman Park house with smart tech hits the market

A RESORT-like vibe and the latest technology was what drew Simon and Catherine Kirkpatrick to this Norman Park home two years ago.

The two-level house at 6 Dalma St has high-end luxury inclusions, from a Caesarstone and New York marble island bench, to American oak floors and a Liebherr fridge and freezer.

“We were drawn to the property as it was move in ready with quality finishes throughout. The views of the city were just a bonus,” Mr Kirkpatrick said.

“The widespread use of advanced modern technology was easily accessible in all parts of the house, allowing easy entertainment and relaxation.”

The smart features of the home were attractive to the couple, with integrated automated technology for the pool, intercom system, ducted airconditioning and home entertainment system — which includes a TV-connected gym and Bose surround sound system.

However, it was the rear entertainment area that was the favourite for the family.

“It was our favourite as the seamless indoor/outdoor entertaining was great for hosting gatherings with our families and friends,” Mr Kirkpatrick said.

“It can be closed off and isolated from the rest of the house if required.

“We enjoyed regular entertaining by hosting gatherings with our friends and family in our very resort-like backyard.”

Mr Kirkpatrick said everything had been thought of, with even the pool able to be used in the cooler months.

“Our children fully used the outdoor area with their friends all year round due to the solar heated pool,” he said.

He and his wife were also attracted to the house’s closeness to the city, schools and public transport.
