EMMA and Greg Moller were first home buyers when they laid eyes on this Mount Gravatt East house.
The couple entered the property market shortly after their wedding and the renovation of the three bedroom house at 127 Grenfell St was short, yet sweet.
“My husband and I had just got married and we needed a first home,” Mrs Moller said.
“We wanted a timber home, and that post-war style is what we really liked.
“So we added new carpet, painted walls and renovated the bathroom.”
The facade of the house is aesthetically pleasing, with a landscaped front yard and a classic weatherboard exterior.
Inside are sleek polished timber floorboards, french doors with rolled glass, detailed cornices and casement windows.
Mrs Moller’s favourite room was an area toward the front of the house.
“The sunroom out the front is just a great place to sit and enjoy the view,” she said.
“It’s definitely my spot for the morning coffee.”
In just more than three quick years, they brought three little daughters into the home and while they enjoyed their time in the property, it is now time for them to upsize.
“It was our first home with our babies, so it is a hard sale,” Mrs Moller said.
“I think we are going to a brick home so we will miss the style.
“We love that style of house and the area as well.”
She said the location of the house had been great for bringing up a family.
“It is very central and everything is very close.
“It’s great for kids with lots of parks around, and we found there are many other young families in the neighbourhood.”
