A beach house that’s truly the stuff of summer dreams is making waves on the Mornington Peninsula.
Designed and owned by architect Nicholas Murray, the Sorrento coastal charmer was completed in December to contain “first class fittings and finishes”.
“He’s really gone all out,” Peninsula Sotheby’s managing director Rob Curtain said.

The four-bedroom, three-bathroom pad at 9 Park Rd is being sold privately with a $2.9-$3.1 million price guide.
Mr Curtain said there was already some buzz around the property, with more than 30 people “in awe” after attending its first inspection.
Early interest was from buyers looking to retire on the peninsula, with the single-level floorplan a big drawcard.
The 750sq m property features a resort-like pool deck that captures plenty of sun.
Sorrento’s main and back beaches are also within walking distance, along with the township’s main street.
The classic open-plan living and dining area is another highlight, featuring vaulted ceilings with exposed trusses, wide oak floorboards, a limestone fireplace and a gourmet kitchen with Gaggenau and Liebherr appliances.
