Jan Juc block sells after five offers put forward

FIVE parties put in offers for an “extremely rare” block of land in a sought after Jan Juc position.

The 2000sq m property at Lot 1, 10 Ocean Blvd sold above the asking range of $1.15 million to $1.25 million.

One Agency, Torquay agent Shaun O’Callaghan said all of the buyers interested were locally based.

“The land size is extremely rare and it is a fresh start, it can be a new build with no demolition required,” Mr O’Callaghan said.

“The buyers will be building a new house there.”

He said it was a popular block for all the right reasons including being a manageable size with established trees already on it.

“You don’t get blocks this size,” he said.

The block is a short walk to the Steps carpark that leads down to the beach and is also close to the local shops and restaurants.

It was originally part of a large block that was subdivided into two. The rear block already has a house on it.
