A YOUNG doctor looking for a convenient city base close to Geelong hospital has snapped up a central unit before auction.
Barry Plant, Highton agent Jennefer West said the medico paid $570,000 — the top of the quoted range — to take 1/17 Brownbill St, Geelong off the market.

She said there was competition from several parties attracted to the convenient location and quality of the modern two-bedroom townhouse.
“We had a huge amount of interest,” Ms West said.
“It went to a young doctor at the hospital who is actually living out of town and wanted a city base.”
The townhouse has two bedrooms with built-in wardrobes and an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area with doors onto a private, north facing courtyard.
An oversized single garage provides internal access but many nearby attractions, such as the Geelong CBD, the waterfront and Eastern Gardens, are within walking distance.
