Game of Thrones Season 8: Final trailer released

Game of Thrones Season 8: Final trailer released

The wait is over.

The hotly anticipated full trailer ahead of Game of Thrones’ final seasonis here and it shows our favourite characters gearing up for the last battle of Westeros.

So what can we glean from it? Well, we get a glimpse of the show’s last massive battle, which will last an entire episode, and is expected to be the longest consecutive action sequence in cinema history.

We see a panicked Arya running from something (but what?). “I know death, he’s got many faces, I look forward to seeing this one,” she says, pointedly.

Then there’s Cersei looking equally victorious and smug at the Red Keep, Sansa bowled over in wonder by Daenerys’ magnificent dragons, a total confirmation that Jaime Lannister joins the Winterfell battle (“I promised to fight for the living, I intend to keep that promise”).

Then there’s Jon Snow and Daenerys striding towards the queen’s waiting dragons (will Jon ride one?).

Then there’s a glimpse of lovebirds Missandei and Greyworm.

Finally, we see the villain to end all villains; the Night King, who could wipe out Westeros.

A teaser was released back in January showing Jon, Arya, and Sansa Stark roaming the crypts of Winterfell and confronting some morbid statues.

The cast have been sworn to secrecy and no spoilers seem to have been leaked, a true internet miracle.

Game on, folks.
