There has been a flurry of activity in the inner west to start the New Year, with plenty of first home buyers looking to make an early move.
A two-bedroom unit in Homebush sold for $660,000 to first home buyers from Camperdown, who viewed the property over the Christmas period before making a move just a few days ago.

Selling agent Norman So of Belle Property Strathfield said the media had done their job and there had been a solid pick up in first-timers.
“The numbers are quite good at the moment with first home buyers and investors out in force trying to locate a property with good value,” he said.
Mr So said he also believes there are some deals to be had in some great pockets around the inner west.
One example is a property at 25 Underwood Rd in Homebush, which originally sold for $1.495 million in August 2017.
It is now back on the market with the vendor happy to take around $1.2 million, representing exceptional value, Mr So added.
“There are some really great deals to be had,” he said.
Other early sales include a two-bedroom unit in Drummoyne for $726,000 and a two-bedroom townhouse in Glebe selling for $1.174 million.
Just yesterday a three-bedroom house in Strathfield also sold for $1.43 million.
