Buyer wants to add pool to Torquay property

SPACE to add in a pool was one of the main reasons a buyer was sold on a contemporary Torquay property.

The Melbourne buyer, that has family in the area, snapped up 5 Druids Glen for $930,000 and is planning on moving in.

McCartney, Torquay agent Tim Carson said the buyer was really impressed with how the property backed onto a reserve.

“It is a big block and she is looking to put a pool in and start a family down here,” Mr Carson said.

“It is a really good quality built home with all the mod cons.”

The modern house on 701sq m of land in the Sands estate is split-level and has three bedrooms, a study, family room and open-plan kitchen, meals area and loungeroom that flows outside to a covered entertainment deck.

The outdoor area also has a view of the third tee of the golf course.

The median house price in Torquay has jumped 11.7 per cent in the past year to $810,000, according to CoreLogic.
