One buyer finally made the move last week, snapping up a six-bedroom house in Russell Lea for $2.08 million.

The local came through the house at 14 Sibbick St a number of times having been searching around the area, finally making the decision to buy the property on Saturday.

The house originally went to auction late last year and was sold by Fayez Yammine and Joe Kanaan of Devine Real Estate.

“They just really liked the size of the block and corner position,” Mr Kanaan said.

“There was another buyer interested but this one just came up with a little bit more.”

The house had been owned since August 2007, when it sold for $1.27 million.
