Finch, who had a long career in the NRL, playing 330 total games in the league, and his wife Elli Johnston, who is five months pregnant, are now set to buy a family home.

The two-bedroom Military Road was listed through Ric Serrao and Alex Lyons of Raine & Horne.

The whole-floor unit with has views over Bondi was bought for $815,000 in 2004.

It had been a rental with a $1100 a week asking price late last year.

It features a wide west-facing terrace plus a designer kitchen, has no common walls, two bathrooms and a parking space.

Over 14 seasons the Maitland-born Finch played for the Canberra Raiders, Sydney Roosters, Parramatta Eels, Melbourne Storm and Wigan Warriors.

The couple married in January last year.
