Auctions to keep the holiday glow

Auctions to keep the holiday glow

Sixty-three homes were set to go under the hammer across Queensland this weekend, some of which are rare opportunities to keep the holiday glow going.

A wide array of properties up and down the South East coast will vie for buyer attention, including eight in Brisbane.

But while the capital city offerings were all houses, along the coastline several units have popped up including a block in downtown Mission Beach at 21-23 Porter Promenade that’s made up of four fully air-conditioned “super-sized, fully furnished apartments”.

The block is made up of two titles of 825sq m each, one of which contains the complex pool. The agent Dick Williams of Ray White Mission Beach said the auction was originally supposed to happen during the busy Christmas period but was rescheduled to this weekend. The eight bedroom, four car space, four bathroom property goes under the hammer at noon.

Among stunning homes close to the surf is 66 Lorikeet Drive, Peregian Beach, which goes to auction at 10am.

Agent Kerry Glover of North Shore Realty described it as having “sand and surf right on your doorstep” with prime positioning.

She said Lorikeet Drive was “arguably one of Peregian’s most prestigious addresses” and perfect for renovation or a rare opportunity to grab an instant weekender.

Three auctions will kick off Saturday’s state-wide list at 9am: 28 King Street, Woody Point, 74 Warburton Street, Bardon and 11 Natasha Avenue, Noosa Heads.
