TWO parties competed for a classic beach house in the heart of Anglesea with the successful buyer having to pay well above expectations to secure it.
The charming holiday house at 21 Parker St sold for $852,500, well above the asking range of $785,000-$825,000.
Great Ocean Properties, Anglesea agent Ian Lawless said it was a really good property in a really good location.

“The person that bought it had been looking for a while and was waiting for good property to come on the market,” Mr Lawless said.
“Buyers are acting on good properties and the interesting thing is the market we are in at the moment there are still a lot of buyers.”
He said buyers were understanding that finance was key and they were getting that organised before negotiating for a property, which was the opposite of last year.
The two-bedroom beach house was bought by Melbourne buyers to use as a holiday home.
The house is on 735sq m of land and has a lot of its original charm and character.
The median house price in Anglesea has jumped 13.7 per cent in the past year to $850,000, according to CoreLogic.
