Affordable new build offers resort-style touches

A clever family-inspired home that is genuinely affordable was Burbank’s aim with the Strathmore 268.

“It’s classy and modern, with a fine attention to detail,” Burbank managing director Jarrod Sanfilippo said of the single-storey design that will suit an 18m x 32m block.

And although practicality is at the forefront, it’s certainly not without an enticing level of luxury.

“There are hidden luxuries in the home that we’ve incorporated to heighten that feeling of indulgence and make it even more appealing,” Mr Sanfilippo said.

One of the luxurious features is the double sliding stacker doors that open up the main bedroom to the covered alfresco zone.

The doors create a resort ambience and naturally brighten the space to form an alluring haven that feels removed from the rest of the home.

“Complete with an opulent ensuite featuring a double vanity, dual shower roses and stone benchtops, the main-bedroom suite ticks all the boxes,” Mr Sanfilippo said.

But that’s not where the luxurious touches end — the kitchen also boasts plenty of these, including a reconstituted-stone benchtop with waterfall ends that’s a bit of a showpiece, a mosaic-tiled splashback, a walk-in pantry, and three pendant lights over the island bench that will leave a lasting impression.

The home has been designed with two living areas — one at the front offering a more intimate place of retreat, and one that forms part of the rear family hub.

“This open-plan area is made for entertaining,” Mr Sanfilippo said.

The alfresco zone also adjoins the family room and when the glass sliding door is open it not only amplifies the home’s sense of space but also the natural flow between indoors and out.

A separate study has a built-in desk and overhead shelving, plus a cushioned built-in seat that provides a super-comfortable place to work and relax.

“It has been purposefully isolated to encourage productive homework time or perhaps to be used by parents as a quiet nook,” Mr Sanfilippo said.

Offering three more secondary bedrooms, each fitted with built-in wardrobes, the Strathmore has everything modern families are after.

As displayed, the home features the Nolan facade, one of seven exterior looks to choose from. It combines contrasting materials, including brick, stained-timber cladding, feature aluminium window trims and a white brick pier, for head-turning, modern street appeal.
