Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine has handed divorced Hollywood couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner a big payday — paying $44.89 million (US $32 million) for their Los Angeles home.
Hollywood gossip site TMZ, reports that Levine and his model wife, Behati Prinsloo, made the purchase at the end of 2018 for the three-building compound in Pacific Palisades.
While the US $32 million price tag sounds hefty, it is actually a pretty good deal with Garner and Affleck originally seeking US $45 million (around AU $63 million).

TMZ says Levine’s purchase is “likely a big sigh of relief for Ben and Jen — who were officially divorced in November — and still had the burden of selling the place.”
The 1.25ha property has been waiting for a buyer for quite some time with both Affleck and Garner having moved out of the home into separate houses in Pacific Palisades — an affluent suburb near Santa Monica.
With internal floorplan measuring 1486sqm, the house has everything a rock star could want, with a swimming pool, basketball court, gym, move theatre and art studio.
The clifftop estate is made up of a main house with five bedrooms and eight bathrooms, as well as two smaller buildings on-site.
There is also a two-bedroom, three-bathroom guesthouse where Affleck is rumoured to have lived during the early stages of the couple’s divorce.
The couple purchased the home in 2009 for an undisclosed sum.
