Mr Placks, who shares the listing with colleague Daryl Rosen, held the first open on Saturday and already has three parties interested in the huge home with pool on a 1,310 sqm block.
“The North Bondi and Rose Bay areas have been quite strong so people are looking to trade up to larger holdings,” Mr Placks said.
The couple, who have two children and want something more low maintenance given that they spend so much time in Shanghai where they build and on-sell apartments, bought the home in 2015 for $8,750,000 from Geordie Manolas, of the Plaman private equity group, and his wife, Debbie.
It’s next door to the four-bedroom home of former Australian cricket captain, Michael Clarke , who paid $8.3 million in 2014.

Set for auction
Property investor Stephen Burcher and his wife, Melissa, have decided to put their waterfront home at 20B Tivoli Ave, Rose Bay up for auction at 3.45pm this Saturday.
It had been an expressions of interest campaign ending this Friday, but The Agency’s Ben Collier said that with a number interested parties it’s now going under the hammer.
If it sells at its $25 million guide, it would set a residential auction record. However Alex Ma’s Vaucluse home could up the stakes if it sells for $30 million at auction on March 18.
And investor Vaughan Blank paid the national auction record of $33.25 million when he bought an Edgecliff block of flats in 2017.
